AKA Ola the Managing Director of Just Another Label (JAL), a company which has various offshoots and sees him involved in a variety of ventures, both business related and community based.

Ola’s most popular tracks include: “On One”, which was used in the movie “Ocean’s Eleven”, “Full Frontal”, which is included on the Extreme Music Library CD “Weird Beats” and “Funky Beat Ting”, which is included on the Ded Good Music Library CD “Boombastic Beats”.

Although he believes he has never worked with anyone famous, all you have to do is look at the artists he has signed to his label: A-Sides, Total Science, Cube::Hard, Triple J, Jennifer Bolton, Helix to name but a few. Also, look at the people who have remixed JAL tracks, specifically in the Hardcore industry: big names like Sharkey, Vibes, Hixxy, Spinback, Force and Styles! His modesty has got the better of him: sometimes it’s good to name drop! However, Ola, or more specifically Stage 1000, won the Ivor Novello and BAFTA awards for “Best Original Music For Television 2002” following his work as Musical Director for the musical documentary “Feltham Sings”. If you ask us, Ola is famous in his own right!

Ola’s inspiration comes primarily from his and other children, especially because of their open minds when it comes to music. However, he cites Michael Jackson for his sheer talent, Bob Marley for his lyrics, Madonna for her youthful looks, Robbie Williams for his entertainment value, Optical for his technical wizardry, Austin Reynolds for his “slap-dash amazing anthems” all as inspirational, and insists that none of it would have been possible without the likes of Beethoven and the basic sounds of nature.

Ola plans to commit more of his time to working in the studio with young, fresh talent and bringing new sounds to the musical forefront although he still has a wanderlust, wishing to see the world and hear its wonders whilst he can. He maintains his dislike for George W Bush and has ambitions to enjoy life to the max without allowing it to get him down.
