Discography :

New Vision Recordings was launched in mid 1998 by long time friends and collaborators Gary J Robinson & David May, devised as a platform for releases by the pair under their production alias of RareForm.
One of the last imprints to establish itself in the old skool of Drum & Bass shortly before the scene was revolutionised by the Internet, NVR bought with it new sounds, new beats and a style that had not been heard before.

The most successful of its releases to date is RareForm’s smash hit ‘SpineChilla’ released in the winter of 1999. Armed with a remix from top dog D&B producer ‘Spirit’ on the flip side SpineChilla took the world by storm gaining heavy weight DJ support, mainstream radio air play and world wide record sales in the thousands.

SpineChilla’s impact later saw it land a number of major international television licences as well as being the instrumental backing for a remix of Christina Aguilera’s classic ‘Genie in a Bottle’ single for RCA Records.

Although still dedicated to releasing Drum & Bass at the cutting edge, NVR now follows other directions with its music thanks to the success of SpineChilla with RareForm carrying out remix duties for many popular music acts to date including Eminem (Aftermath), Pitch Black (Universal / Mow town), QBs Finest Featuring Nas (Columbia), Sonna Rele (Universal), SugaBabes (London) and Sussie 4 (EMI Music, Mexico).

NVR also has a big focus on pushing D&B into the world of television, which has seen it become one of the most licensed, Drum & Bass labels in the world.

Working with various agencies in Europe and the United States NVR has secured licences from shows including Big Brother (Mexico), East Enders (BBC), Making The Band 2, Miss Universe, The Oprah Winfrey Show, Power Rangers and The Shield.

As well as material for a number of television networks such as A&E, AXN, Discovery, MTV, National Geographical, The Sci-Fi Channel and VH1.

Other notable licences include the use of tracks by Nike for billboard advertisements in New York City.

The new millennium saw co founding member David May move onto new ventures leaving Gary to maintain the label and ensure that NVR continues to release quality Drum & Bass supporting both vinyl and Mp3 formats as well as continuing to push the music on a world wide scale through major label remixes and mainstream television licensing.
