This remix of the classic “Utopia” by Jennifer Bolton comes courtesy of two of happy hardcores most influential producers. Ad-Man, who’s past successes have included “Pleasure & Pain” with DJ Demo & the “Positive” remixes and Cru-L-T, who is best known for his collaborations with Jimmy J on “Take Me Away” & “Six Days”. Having worked together on various projects before, it comes as no surprise that the latest from them is a strong 4 to the floor remix, full of lively, gated vocals and uplifting stabs, which break down into an acid line of old school proportions, before returning to the full melody with piano’s and strings everywhere!
The flip side keeps the 4x4 elements but comes in strong with arpeggiators and filters and a more anthemic feel. This side also retains the breakbeat presence maintaining the bridge between modern and old school styles to devastating effect.
