Fire & Theft, one of the longest established acts on Narcotix, have returned!
Everyone who follows the label will know that the previous releases by Fire & Theft, “Stalker” (Narc 1), “Game 9” (Narc 4) & “No Hindrance” (Narc 6) have all been extremely well received, and the unusual Indie/Trip Hop/Rock sound combined with the excellent production skills of writer and producer Matt Carlton, his sister Rebecca, and Matt Lovett,
result in a truly individual sound.

These remixes of “Game 9” come courtesy of Drum & Bass maestro  A-Sides, and are currently receiving massive air play by Fabio, Grooverider, Mickey Finn and Randall, amongst others. The Dancefloor Mix starts with whispered vocals over a rolling loop before dropping into a funky bass and almost industrial filters and effects, which in turn lead into a vocal breakdown, before the cycle starts again. The flip side introduces vocals from the very beggining, complete with lush melody and atmospherics, before the bass kicks in and everything goes into overdrive...
This one is expected to be huge, perhaps taking the crown from the previous biggest seller on Narcotix, “Springbox” by Dilemma (Narc 10).
