Single InformationCatalogue Number : EAST35 Release Date : 2000 Label : East Side Genre(s) : Drum & Bass / Drum and Bass A. 'Human Race'
By : Cool Hand Flex
Back in the day when East Side Records first surfaced it was A-Sides and Cool Hand Flex who set the ball rolling with their first release Uptown / After Dark.
The East Side 2000 series sees artists collaborating back to back.
First up is Human Race by Cool Hand Flex. Those of you familiar with his sound will know Flex likes to roll out on the deep tip. Hip hop stabs, vocals and sound fx get wrapped around crisp beats for the intro before the percussion breakdown. After this things get moving with an old school bass stab smashing into a full scale Amen assault. Centurian sees A-Sides gettin deep and nasty and moving away from his normal style. The intro steps out smooth with pads and atmospherics slowly building making way for some deep bass line pressure and severe beat trickery. Both tracks are currently being played by DJs such as Randall, Peshay, Kenny Ken, Spirit, Dieselboy and Marcus Intalex |
