JAL 25 sees the return of LOVE NATION alongside DONNA GRASSIE. When you hear the remake of the rave classic GOTTA BELIEVE (previously released on HECTIC), you may either be pleasantly surprised or a touch disappointed, because there is no 4 to da floor kick drum anywhere in the track. This marks the turning point for the label (at last did I hear you say?) From this release onwards JAL releases will always have a slightly slower, uplifting, Drum & Bass or Trancecore track on one side. We know that this move will piss a lot of you DJs off, we will lose air play, we will lose sales but we don't really care! We all here at JAL love the sound of I BELIEVED, and other tracks in the pipeline that break out of the current HAPPY HARDCORE sound. We see this as a way forward: we are prepared to put our necks on the line, and hope some of you DJs will support our cause. Being ravers ourselves, we are, alongside others ravers, getting bored of groove - less Tekno all night long (what happened to the South East London Hardcore sound and scene which used to mix and blend all styles of HARDCORE ,TRANCECORE & BREAKBEAT?)
